11/20/2022 0 Comments Quail valley golf club![]() I appreciate that the staff put us out early on #10 and they were friendly and welcoming but some of the players were not. It's unfortunate because I've run into this at Quail Valley on other trips and it leaves a negative impression of the course and its patrons. We ran into a couple of groups of really rude players-I believe they were "regulars" and use to playing golf without consideration or respect for other players. ![]() The only reason I gave it a 4 stars vs a 5 is because of some other players (which is not the course's responsibility). Congrats to the Super on keeping this course in such great shape. ![]() I only saw a couple of burned out spots on the sides of the fairways which was nothing really. Quail Valley looks pretty much unaffected by these conditions.the fairways were excellent and so were the greens! Even the bunkers were fluffy and thick sand. A lot of the other PA/MD courses are trying to recover from the damage caused by too much rain and too hot temps. I highly recommend Quail Valley.įirst time playing this year, and I was pleasantly surprised. It's an easy walk-no hills or inclines-but is spread out a bit. We walked and played in about 4 hrs 15 mins, but this course stretches out (you have to cross the public road four times). The rough was pretty "juicy" and was brutal if you found some thick stuff. They were a little sandy, but certainly playable. The greens had been aerated two weeks ago, and they continued the discount ($10 off). For the course, it was in excellent condition! The fairways were plush and green-filled in with absolutely no dirt spots or flaws- and most bunkers had nice, fluffy sand. First of all, they just completed a couple of major renovations: 1) the clubhouse has a huge covered deck across the back with plenty of outdoor seating, and the cart barn underneath, and 2) the wood bridge over to the par 3 island green (#13) has been replaced with a beautiful brick and concrete bridge. I haven't played Quail Valley in almost two years, so made the trek up (about 1 hr 10 mins). ![]()
